Read the following list of dog behaviours and see how you and your dog do:
- Does your dog follow you around?
- Does your dog like to sit on your feet?
- Is your dog always pleased to see you?
- Is your dog excited to go for a walk?
- Is your dog happy its tea time?
- Does your dog have a mad half hour?
- Does your dog like you to play with them?
- Do you wrestle or rough and tumble with your dog?
- Do you throw balls or other toys for your dog?
- Does your dog give your hands a little nudge when you are relaxing?
- Does your dog jump up onto your lap when you are watching TV?
- Does your dog lick your face?
- Does your dog love to see visitors?
- Do you find your self having conversations with your dog?
- Do you ask your dog what is it doing or why are you doing that?
- Do you tell your dog it can't have something or it is not time for something to happen?
- Does your dog run around in the garden on its own?
- Does your dog come in from the garden when you call or does it need a treat to come in?
- When you come home, do you talk to the dog first?
- Do you think you are in charge of your dog?
- Does your dog put their head on your lap?
- Does your dog sit and stare at you?
- Does your dog bark at you?
- Does your dog like being ignored?
If the majority of your answers are yes, then your dog is probably getting their own way more often than not and this can be a cause of bad behaviour.
