Dog Behaviour Training at Home Nationwide

"We will get there as I feel more positive now as I fell we are going in the right direction, prior to your visit I really was a loss as to what we could do and doubted we could integrate Star into the household. Now things are on the up but we have a long way to go and it will be a testing journey but one worth doing and we are looking forward to it, with your help."

Dog Behaviour Training at Home

Steven travels all over the UK to help you train your dog where they feel most in control, at home. Dog training at home is the most important part of teaching your dog how to behave. Most problems can be resolved with one or two visits. Steven's Home Visits are very successful and make a huge difference to your dog's behaviour.

When can a home visit make a difference? If your dog is trying to control you, we often mistake it for affection and reward accordingly. This tells our dog he is in control.

  • Is your dog affectionate and looks for fuss and stroking?
  • Is your dog is an angel in the house but a different dog outside the house?
  • Does your dog gets excited by visitors and jumps around or nips at clothing?
  • When your visitors are in your house and your dog is jumping around and pestering them for attention?
  • When you get up in the morning, is your dog excited and pleased to see you?
  • Do you play with and talk to your dog when he is excited?
  • When you have been away for a few hours, is your dog excited and pleased to see you?
  • Does your dog get excited and run around you when you go for a walk?
  • Does your dog bark at you when you are watching TV?
  • Does your dog stare at you?
  • Our dogs are a living reflection of our own lives. Living with us shapes their behaviour and we train them how to behave. Unfortunately, It is not always the way we would like them to behave. The real frustration is not knowing how to change it for the behaviour we do want.

This is where Steven's home visits help you to:

  • Understand how your dog thinks and how they react to living with us.
  • Recognise when your dog is asking you a question.
  • How to answer your dogs question in a way they understand. The biggest cause of disruptive dog behaviour is we do not answer the dogs question so your dog is left to make his own decision. Not usually the one we want!
  • Change your interaction with your dog so your dog trusts you to look after him so issues with other dogs disappear.
  • Learn how to socialise your dog so he believes you are in charge and will look after him.
  • Teach your dog to come back to you wherever you are.
